THE FINE PRINT
A security deposit of $500 is payable to confirm your booking. This is refunded the week following your function.
Final confirmation of food and beverage menu items, and guest numbers are to be made 14 days prior to your function. You will be invoiced for your food selection based on this confirmed number of guests.
10 days prior to your function you will be invoiced for the venue hire fee, food selection and any other services you have requested (security, decorations, furnishings, entertainment).
Payment is required prior to the function. We accept cash, internet transfer or credit card. Credit card payments incur a 1.8% merchant fee.
Bar account is to be settled at the end of the function. We accept Visa, Mastercard, EFTPOS and American Express. There is no merchant fee charged for Bar transactions.
Invoicing for the BAR can be organised by prior arrangement. Payment terms are 3 working days. A credit card will be retained for security, and we reserve the right to charge the credit card if payment is not made as per the invoice. A 1.8% merchant fee will be added to the invoiced total. Payment defaults will incur a 12% interest fee.
Minimum spend is based on food and applies to certain menus only.
Functions that go over 5 hours from guest arrival to departure will be charged a fee of $200 per hour to cover staffing.
Cancellations outside 30 days are entitled to a 100% refund.
Cancellations within 10 to 30 days will be charged the $500 deposit.
Cancellations within 10 days of your function will be charged the agreed minimum food and beverage spend.
Neither the client or Viaduct YC Limited (trading as Black Door) shall be responsible to the other for any changes to the agreed function requirements if the changes are the result of any statute, governmental regulation, act of god, fire, natural disaster, damage to the venue or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of the parties. In the event of such a force majeure, the parties shall agree to amend or cancel the agreement. Invoiced totals for food and other services along with the balance of the deposit after the venue booking fee are fully refundable.
BREAKAGES or damage caused will be charged to the final bill.
It is against the law for us to serve intoxicated guests. This is at the discretion of the Duty Manager, and we ask you to respect their decision.
If your menu selection becomes unavailable it will be substituted for an alternative and you will be charged the lesser of either the price of your original selection or the price of the alternative.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
Only food and beverage purchased at Black Door can be consumed at Black Door unless by prior agreement. Beverage can be taken from the premises by prior arrangement under our off-premise license.
Confetti, rose petals or rice are allowed on the premises by prior arrangement only. These incur an additional cleaning charge of $70
VYC will not be responsible for any loss or damage to guest's property during your function. We do however have a lost property box and can check for lost items after the venue has been cleaned.
